Amery Smith is a musician who has performed on tour with Beastie Boys since the early 1990s. Smith, whose nickname is AWOL, is best known for his work with Suicidal Tendencies, DFL, BS 2000, and AgainST. He has been a long-time friend of Beastie Boys, and is pictured on the back of the Aglio E Olio album.

On past Beastie Boys tours, Smith has played drums when Mike Diamond does vocals on a hardcore song. One of Smith's earliest public performances with Beastie Boys occurred in 1994 when they performed on Saturday Night Live.

Smith formed BS 2000 with Adam Horovitz in 1997. They toured following the release of their second album Simply Mortified. While on tour they stopped at both large and small radio stations to play 45 rpm records and talk about what makes BS 2000 different than other bands.
