David Pinsky has known the Beastie Boys for years and has traveled the world with them in 1992, 1994, 1995, & 1996 as a tour sound engineer. His day-job though is back in Minneapolis, MN where he runs Gark Studio.

Now if Gark Studio seems familiar to you, here is the reason why: part of the BS2000 album Simply Mortified was mixed there by David Pinsky. Also, over the years Beastie Boys band members have been filmed and photographed wearing the traditional Gark Studio Logo T-shirt. On the inside of the Ill Communication cd booklet, Adam Yauch has his Gark t-shirt on. Also, on the 1994 Saturday Night Live performance Amery "Awol" Smith sports a Gark t-shirt.
