Date: Aug 1998 Show: Much Music Country: Canada City: Promoting: Hello Nasty Language: English Features: MCA, Mike D, AdRock Notes: The 1998 Much Music Beastie Boys: Egos and Icons television special was the Canadian channel’s answer to MTV’s Beastieography. The show took a look at the band’s history and used snippets of several older Much Music interviews as well as interview footage from 1998. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this lengthy special was a short interview with Biz Markie that took place back in 1987. During the interview, Biz Markie said more than a few unkind things about the Beastie Boys. Obviously today the Beastie Boys and the Biz get along famously, but back then it was a different story. |
