For some fans it is considered the “be all end all” Beastie Boys interview/television special, whereas others were left feeling disappointed. Fans that liked it found the show’s overview of the band’s history a great refresher course. Fans who did not like it pointed to the fact that MTV interviewed a handful of really unnecessary people to offset the actual interviews with band members. Perhaps the most commendable thing about the Beastieography was that it included interview footage with former Beastie Boys band member Kate Schellenbach, who is usually overlooked or ignored. |
