Fan Review by David:
The show was on a Sunday night at a venue formally known as the Croatian Liberty Home, which is half bar/half ballroom and nicely decorated with murals depicting Croatian traditions. The Need opened up for BS2000 and played a decent set. They had some technical difficulties (which they blamed on a little Croatian man) that prolonged the wait for the real show. After the Need finished up, the crowd anxiously waited more than an hour for the show to begin. Finally, the intro music starts and Adrock rushes on stage and dances for the remainder of the song. This sets the mood for the remainder of the night and Alfredo, Jazz, and Awol come on stage. The set was just a little under an hour with almost half the time taken up with Adrock and Awol talking about the crowd and the songs. Highlights of the show include Adrock complimenting some kid on his hairstyle (who turned more than one head with his gravity defying white man 'fro (as discussed in GR #5)), Amery proclaiming that his favorite song is The Coffee Drinker, some guy jumping on stage and shaking Adrock's hand, and the
resounding boos after each time Adrock said that this was the last song. The show was incredibly fun and was probably as close as anyone can expect to get to any of the Beastie Boys in a live concert.
