Appearance on "Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary Special"

Beastie Boys played the first few bars of "Sabotage" and then Elvis Costello rushed in saying "I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen, but there's really no reason to do this song here tonight" and they went into "Radio Radio".

This was a direct reference to Costello's 1977 appearance on Saturday Night Live. On the show, he and his band played a few bars of "Less Than Zero" (which his label wanted him to perform), but stated “I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but there’s no reason to do this song here” and switched it to "Radio Radio". This track took aim at the commercialisation of broadcasting and resulted in Costello being banned from the show until 1989.
