A system of metal detectors will be in use at Wednesday's performance of Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston. The groups spent $500,000 to buy the detectors and to hire extra security personnel for the 40-date "Together Forever" tour, Other special precautions: The gates will open at 5 p.m. the show starts at 7:30 p.m. to give everyone time to get through the metal detectors. No alcoholic beverages will be available at refreshment stands. No loitering will be allowed in the parking lot. Sgt, Doug Hummel, of the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, said there will be a substantial increase in the number of police officers patrolling the area 30 to 40 more than usual.
