Commentary:

Beastie Boys

"With this song, I started playing the rhythm on the congas drums and the Boys just started jamming with me. The vibe of the song is like a driving rhythm that can be hypnotic. There isn't much to the song but the vibe of it is undeniable. The song was really long and Mario C. edited it down to what it is now." - Eric Bobo, March 2003

Press

"...[Shambala] sounds like Talking Heads' 'I Zimbra,' the very signature of stale art-funk" - source unknown
